About Franklin Afterschool Program

At Franklin Academy, a student’s day doesn’t have to end when the final bell rings. Our Afterschool Enrichment Program is thoughtfully designed to provide a safe, structured, and engaging environment. By balancing intellectual discovery with physical activity and academic support, we ensure that every minute of the afterschool hours is both productive and inspiring for our K-12 students.

A Balanced Afternoon

The Daily Schdeule

To help students transition smoothly from their regular academic day, we follow a carefully structured daily schedule that maximizes both learning and well-being:

Before 3:40 PM: Snack & Social Recharge

Before diving into afternoon activities, students enjoy a dedicated break. This is a time to have a snack, socialize with peers, and reset their minds after a rigorous school day.

3:40 PM – 4:30 PM: Specialized Enrichment Programs

During this core block, students engage in our signature enrichment activities designed to spark curiosity and develop new skills. Depending on the day’s schedule, students will participate in:

  • Rubik’s Cube & Logic: Developing spatial awareness, memory, and strategic problem-solving skills through guided Rubik’s Cube instruction.
  • Culture & Heritage Learning: Exploring global traditions, arts, and history to cultivate cross-cultural empathy and a broader worldview.
  • Science Discovery: Participating in hands-on science activities that nurture a natural curiosity for how the world works.

4:30 PM – 4:45 PM: Active Playground Time

We understand the importance of physical movement. Students head to the playground for 15 minutes of outdoor recess, allowing them to get fresh air and burn off energy.

4:45 PM – 5:00 PM: Homework Support & Dismissal

The final block of the day is dedicated to academics. Under the supervision of our staff, students focus on completing their daily school assignments. This ensures they make solid progress on their homework while parents begin to arrive for pick-up.
