The Franklin Academy Choir Program is a vibrant and inclusive space where students can explore their musical talents, learn the power of collaboration, and experience the joy of vocal performance. Whether a student is a seasoned vocalist or simply loves to sing, our choir provides a supportive stage for them to shine.

Our Choral Philosophy
At Franklin Academy, we believe that every student has a voice worth sharing. All Franklin Academy students, from Kindergarten through 12th grade, are fully eligible and encouraged to join the choir. We do not believe in gatekeeping the arts. Our choir program is designed to be highly accessible, ensuring that any student with a passion for music has the opportunity to participate, develop their vocal technique, and experience the thrill of live performance. Through regular rehearsals, students learn vital skills such as breath control, pitch-matching, sight-reading, and the beautiful art of harmonization.

The K-12 Choral Journey
Because our choir is open to all ages, we structure our vocal groups to align with our students’ developmental stages, ensuring everyone receives appropriate instruction and repertoire.
Elementary Chorus (Grades K-5)
Trilingual Melodies – For our youngest singers, the choir is an extension of their Trilingual Immersion experience. Students joyfully learn foundational vocal skills while exploring a diverse repertoire of songs in English, Mandarin, and Spanish. This not only builds musicality but actively enhances their language acquisition and cross-cultural appreciation.
Middle School Ensemble (Grades 6-8)
Building Confidence – As students grow, so do their voices. Our middle school program focuses on developing healthy vocal habits during a time of physical transition. Students begin to explore two- and three-part harmonies, learning the importance of listening to their peers and working together as a cohesive unit.
High School Concert Choir (Grades 9-12)
Advanced Artistry – Our high school choir takes on more complex, collegiate-level repertoire, ranging from classical masterworks to contemporary arrangements. These senior students serve as the vocal ambassadors for Franklin Academy, developing leadership skills and a deep, expressive artistry that enhances their comprehensive academic portfolios.

Performance is a key component of the Franklin Academy Choir experience. Throughout the academic year, our vocalists have multiple opportunities to showcase their hard work:
The Annual Winter & Spring Concerts:
Beautiful, campus-wide celebrations where all choral divisions come together to perform for families and friends.
Campus Events & Ceremonies:
The choir frequently provides the musical backdrop for our most important school events, graduations, and symposiums.
Community Outreach:
In alignment with our Global Philanthropy Leadership (GPL) values, the choir occasionally travels to perform at local Orange County community centers, bringing the joy of music to the broader public.
