Franklin Academy utilizes a Rolling Admissions policy for the current academic year, meaning we evaluate applications as they are completed. However, because we maintain strict, small class sizes to ensure highly personalized mentorship, spaces in our Trilingual Immersion and High School Research programs fill extremely quickly. We strongly encourage families to apply as early as possible.

We believe in a holistic admissions process. Instead of relying solely on standardized tests, we evaluate students based on a broader picture:

• For Grades K-5: Applicants will participate in a required “Trial Day & Readiness Check” on campus to ensure our immersive environment is the right fit.
• For Grades 6-12: We evaluate academic transcripts, teacher recommendations, and conduct a mandatory one-on-one student interview to assess intellectual independence and readiness for our rigorous programs.

 The Trial Day allows your child to spend time in one of our classrooms, interacting with peers and teachers in our multilingual environment. It includes a short, stress-free readiness assessment that helps our educators understand your child’s learning style, behavioral habits, and academic baseline.

Yes, we welcome students from diverse cultural and international backgrounds. Our holistic admissions team will review international academic transcripts and conduct virtual interviews if an in-person visit is not possible.

Our K-5 curriculum is uniquely designed to foster natural fluency in English, Mandarin, and Spanish. Led by native-speaking educators, students learn core subjects (such as math and science) through these languages, accelerating their cognitive flexibility, cross-cultural empathy, and early problem-solving skills.

For our earliest learners (Kindergarten and 1st Grade), no prior language experience is necessary; children naturally absorb the languages in our immersive environment. For older elementary transfers, language proficiency is evaluated during the Trial Day on a case-by-case basis to ensure the student can comfortably access the curriculum.

FRIP is the crown jewel of our High School division. Rather than waiting for college, our high schoolers are paired with university professors and industry experts to conduct 6-week cycles of independent research in fields like Artificial Intelligence, Medical Science, and Engineering. Many of our students successfully publish their findings in professional academic journals, giving them a massive competitive edge in Ivy League and top-tier university admissions.

College preparation begins the moment a student enters our High School. We offer an Early College Program, rigorous AP-level coursework, elite research opportunities (FRIP), and dedicated one-on-one college counseling. Our advisors help students curate academic portfolios, secure strong letters of recommendation, and navigate the application process for the world’s most selective universities.

Student life at Franklin is vibrant and diverse. Yes. We understand the needs of modern working families. Franklin Academy offers a comprehensive Extended Care Program from 7:30 AM until classes commence, and after school until 5:30 PM. We also offer occasional drop-in care at an hourly rate.

Yes, for the convenience of our families, Franklin Academy offers flexible monthly payment plans to distribute the cost of annual tuition throughout the academic year.

The non-refundable Registration Fee ($2,500) ensures your child is fully equipped for the school year. It covers all textbooks and printed materials, general school supplies, science and research lab fees, the school yearbook, an earthquake safety kit, and one Live Scan background check per family.
