How to Apply to Franklin Academy
Begin Your Educational Journey
Thank you for your interest in joining the Franklin Academy community. We are looking for curious, motivated, and well-rounded students who are eager to thrive in our Trilingual Immersion and collegiate-level academic environments. Because we believe in a holistic admissions process, our application steps are uniquely tailored to your child’s developmental stage. Please review the grade-specific application steps below to begin your enrollment journey.
Early Childhood & Elementary Application Process (Grades K-5)
Grades K–5 Enrollment Steps
Our K-5 admissions process is designed to ensure that our trilingual immersion environment is the perfect fit for your child’s unique learning style.
STEP 1: Application Form & Application Fee
Complete the school application form and submit the $300 application fee. Once your application is received, our admissions team will review the information and follow up with your family regarding next steps.
STEP 2: Assessment Test & Class Trial Day
Your child will be invited to participate in a readiness assessment and classroom trial day. This helps us better understand your child’s academic level, learning style, classroom readiness, and overall fit.
STEP 3: Admissions Decision
After the assessment and trial day are completed, our admissions team will review the results and notify your family of the admissions decision. Accepted families will receive an official acceptance letter with enrollment details.
Middle & High School Application Process (Grades 6-12)
Grades 6–12 Enrollment Steps
STEP 1: Complete the Online Application
Submit your basic information and personal statement through our online page to begin your journey with us.
STEP 2: Submit Academic Transcripts
Provide your official transcripts to showcase your academic achievements and readiness for our programs.
Can I upload unofficial transcripts initially?
Yes, you may upload unofficial transcripts for the initial review, but official transcripts will be required upon acceptance.
Do I need to submit transcripts from every school I've attended?
Yes, we require transcripts from all schools you’ve attended in the last three years.
STEP 3: Submitting Standardized Test Scores
Students need to submit at least one of standardized test scores (SSAT, PSAT 8/9, ISEE, ERB, SAT, ACT, or your state standardized test scores).
Please note: Non-native English speakers must submit TOEFL, IELTS, or Duolingo test scores as proof of language skills. Our admissions team will use these scores to evaluate your readiness for an English-based curriculum.
STEP 4: Submit Letters of Recommendation
We encourage you to submit letters from teachers or mentors who can speak to your academic abilities, leadership, and character.
STEP 5: Schedule a Virtual Family Interview
Meet with our admissions team for a virtual interview, where we’ll discuss your goals and assess your fit with Franklin Academy’s values and programs.
Who should attend the virtual family interview?
The student and at least one parent or guardian should attend the interview.
How long will the virtual family interview be?
The interview lasts around one hour. It’s a chance for us to learn about you and for you to discover more about Franklin Academy.
Application Review & Enrollment
Important Deadlines & Acceptance
Franklin Academy utilizes a rolling admissions process, though spaces in our Trilingual Immersion and High School Research programs fill quickly.
Once all application steps and required documents are successfully submitted, your file will immediately move to the Admissions Committee for review. Families will receive an official admissions decision via email. Upon acceptance, you will be invited to complete the enrollment paperwork and submit the annual Registration Fee to secure your student’s seat.
